This bottle gourd home decor piece beautifully blends natural charm with traditional craftsmanship. The dried gourd is skilfully shaped and encased in a finely woven bamboo lattice, creating an elegant, earthy aesthetic.
Its tall, slender form and intricate weaving make it a striking accent for shelves, corners, or tabletops. Perfect for adding rustic warmth to any interior, this handcrafted decor item celebrates sustainable art and the creativity of indigenous artisans.
Preparation Method :
Harvested between October and December, the material is carefully processed using natural methods. It is first boiled in clean water to harden its outer surface, while the inside is thoroughly cleaned. It is then sun-dried for approximately one week, with water retained inside throughout the drying process. No artificial chemicals are used at any stage, preserving its natural properties.
Traditional Use :
Traditionally, it was used as a natural container for storing and carrying locally brewed rice wine and other liquids and seeds. Its sturdy outer shell made it a practical, reusable storage vessel in everyday household life.
